INSTRUCTORS
Adult black belt instructors teach all classes. Our primary instructor is François Auradon. François has over 30 years of training, and 15 years of teaching experience. He is a 6th degree black belt in Kobayashi Shorin Ryu Karate and 5th degree black belt in Okinawan Kobudo. François has trained Kobayashi Shorin Ryu and Okinawan Kobudo since 2006 with Authentic Ancient Arts and founded South Metro Authentic Ancient Arts in 2013. He trained previously in Shotokan (7 years) and Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu (6 years) styles of Karate. South Metro AAA has 5 additional adult black belts who assist with the teaching.
François Auradon trains under Sensei Stolsmark (8th dan Karate, 9th dan Kobudo) and
Sensei Martin (6th dan Karate and 6th dan Kobudo).
ABOUT OUR DOJO
François began his training in the Shorinkan and OKDR at Authentic Ancient Arts of Minnesota (AAA) in Burnsville under Sensei Martin in 2006. AAA of MN was founded by Sensei Martin in 1999. Around 2011 Sensei Martin moved to Hudson, WI and began operating two dojos, one in MN and one in WI. South Metro Authentic Ancient Arts was founded in 2013 when Sensei Martin asked François to take over the responsibilities of the Minnesota dojo. We have operated our dojo in Eden Prairie, MN since 2013 and moved to Savage in 2022.
